Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Principal Military Trainer Fires Analyst . The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, KS . The Fires Principal Military Trainer must be professionally eager to constructively influence the future of U.S. Army simulation-driven training and perform as an integral member of a cross Warfighting Function (WfF) Team in support of the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). Analyst directly supports simulation driven command post exercises to train Brigade, Division and Corps Commanders and their staffs during Warfighter Exercises at various CONUS and OCONUS military installations. The analyst will collect and manage data pertaining to the Fires WfF's procedures, decisions, and orders during computer assisted military training exercises for Army Brigades, Divisions, Corps, and as required, Army Service Component Commands. Works closely with military WfF Observer Controllers/Trainers (OC/Ts). Analyst collects simulation generated data, Observer Controller/ Trainer observations, analyzes those, and prepares audiovisual products for After Action Reviews (AARs) in coordination with military WfF counterparts. Develops and produces graphic products for AARs, Mission Command Training (MCT) Workshops, In-Progress Reviews, and briefings. When required, the analyst assists in exercise planning, scenario development, weekly pre-exercise planning meetings, site surveys, and exercise planning conferences. Develops exercise plans, coordinates internal and external resources, monitors planning progress and timelines, and prepares contract deliverables items. The analyst maintains proficiency in current and emerging Army and Joint Fires doctrine as well as the various simulations, models and AAR systems supporting Army training exercises. Candidate should have recent experience with both Army and Military Fires organizations.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 6 years of experience or Masters with 4 years of experience

  • Graduate of a related Advance Course (Fires or other combat arms)

  • Minimum MEL 4-CGSC or Equivalent

  • Must possess an active Secret Clearance and be SCI eligible

  • Familiar with current Army Fires/Joint doctrine

  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree

  • Brigade, Division or Corps Fires Command staff officer experience

  • Previous experience in computer assisted simulation training
