Northrop Grumman is in need of a Military Trainer/, WCOPFOR Intelligence Command Post Player to assist with combat mission rehearsal exercise simulation. Military Trainer and exercise support staff for Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) simulation command post exercises to train Division and Corps Commanders and their staffs during Warfighter and Mission Rehearsal exercises. As a Intelligence Command Post Player (Intel CPP) individual performs the Chief of Intelligence duties for Warfighter exercises for the WCOPFOR Division of Ops Group X-Ray. Participates in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), Course of Action (COA) development and Wargaming sessions in conjunction with other Warfighter function subject matter experts and other WCOPFOR Army Staff. Intelligence CPP is required to be expert in all aspects of Opposing Forces intelligence doctrine and tactics and is a primary instructor/trainer for other CPPs including part-time on-call exercise support staff during WFXs. Required to research, document and teach a myriad of intelligence military subjects for Warfighter preparations as well as supervise the preparation of current and future intelligence plans during exercises. The Intel CPPs are responsible for all aspects of the Information Operations/Information Warfare, portions of planning, preparation and delivery of the Competitive Command Post Campaign Plan and Combat Orders for each MCTP Warfighter exercise (WFX). Translates written operational combat instructions for units assigned and provides to simulation work areas for execution. Supervise part-time on-call intelligence command post players that monitor units assigned and role plays their status and activities to WCOPFOR Commanders at Brigade/Division Tactical Group or Operational Strategic Command level command posts. Performs actions to ensure a competitive free-thinking Opposing Force is presented to exercising units to achieve training objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares intelligence portion of campaign plans, combat orders and instructions for each exercise scenario plan to include control graphics.
Reviews computer simulation placement of intelligence units assigned into doctrinal formations, ensuring situated to the terrain and is tactically correct representation based on combat orders and the scenario.
Writes orders and generates reports as directed.
Keeps other command post players apprised of current and unusual activity.
Supervises part-time intelligence role players in the WCOPFOR.
May deploy to various countries, as required, in support of U.S. military operations.
a. Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university.
b. Six years U.S. military service, Senior Non-Commissioned, Chief Warrant Officer or Commissioned Officer.
c. Familiar with current Army/Joint doctrine.
d. Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
e. U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE).
Security: Must have a DoD SECRET Clearance.
a. Two years experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large-scale computer simulation exercises.
b. Previous experience in computer assisted simulation training. Experienced in WARSIM simulation.
c. Battalion/Brigade or higher staff officer experience.
d. Prior experience as an MCTP Observer Controller.
