Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Deputy Team Chief, Team Lead/Manager. The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas with our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) trains Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in the Army Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. This is done thru an integrated simulation to replicate a robust Operating Environment (OE). Units conduct exercises in Large Scale Combat Operations with all appropriate operational variables that would be present in a theater of operations in order to develop efficiency in the operations process.

Specific Responsibilities:

Manages other full-time supervisory personnel as the Operations Group X Deputy Team Chief supporting the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). Directs the planning, coordination and execution of OG-X support to MCTP Division/Corps Warfighters. Reviews appropriate plans, orders, annexes, and database and training materials necessary to conduct every MCTP warfighter. Coordinates training of full and part-time employees to perform required tasks to operate the simulations and other automated systems. Quality control is a key area of responsibility with a direct impact on the product to the customer. Serves as the OG-X subject matter expert on simulation parameters, data bases and key simulations development concepts. Serves as the OG-X NGSC Team Chief, in his absence.

  • Manage the daily operations of the OG-X Team.

  • Develop and gain approval of planning priorities.

  • Direct and supervise activities of subordinates.

  • Ensure timely, and satisfactory submission of contract deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain a system to gain feedback from the customer on deliverables and anticipate adjustments as required.

  • Supervise the application of current Army and Joint Doctrine by the WCOPFOR during WFXs.

  • Assists the OG-X Team Chief in supervising the activities of Plans Directorate Chiefs/Shift Leaders; Analysts, Operations, and Training Sections; the WCOPFOR, Scenario Design, and Plans Divisions within OG-X.
