Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Mgr. Team Leader . The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, KS . The Manager Team Leader will serve as the Scenario Division Chief for the Plans and Exercise Division (PLEX), Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) in support of simulation command post exercises to train Division and Corps Commanders and their staffs during Warfighter (WFX) and Mission Rehearsal Exercises (MREs). The Scenario Design Chief will be responsible for supervising 21 full-time employees in developing Operating Environment (OEs) and scenarios. During exercise execution, supervises and additional 20-30 part time employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs duties as the contract lead for the Scenario Design Division (SDD), a team of 21 Northrop Grumman employees responsible for producing operational environments (OE) for MCTP Corps and Division-level exercises. These events help training audiences achieve desired unit training objectives while fielding a challenging opposing force (OPFOR) consistent with Hybrid Threat OPFOR doctrine as described in the TC 7-100 series. The SDD Chief oversees the coordination and integration of Media, Biometrics, HUMINT, Information Operations, Counter Explosive, Prisoner of War / Detention Operations, Hybrid Threat and Storyline support to the exercise to meet operational training guidance and training objectives. The SDD Chief supports the government by ensuring the replication of Political, Military, Economic, Social, Information, Infrastructure (PMESII) and the physical domain factors in the scenario's OE for all Division and Corps exercises. SDD activities include the creation, replication, or modification of country studies; development of story lines and MSEL events; development of material and events in support of Information Operations and replicates civilians and/or Contractors on the battlefield. SDD conducts Theater Research and assists the military in ensuring that training environments represent the degree of unpredictability and complexity present in a real-world Operational Environment (OE) and sufficiently challenges the training audience. SDD continually researches ongoing and potential conflicts throughout the world to maintain knowledge of OE variables and to maintain proficiency on current and emerging OE Technical Training Plans (TTP).
Bachelor's Degree - 12 Years' Experience or Master's Degree - 9 Years' Experience
US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)
US military service as a Field grade officer (Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel)
Familiarity with current army and Joint Doctrine
Proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
Must currently possess a DoD SECRET Clearance
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in design and planning Army exercises
Mastery of US Army doctrine, and OPFOR replication
