Northrop Grumman is in search of a Staff Software Developer to be a part of a dynamic and diverse team environment in Fort Belvoir, Virginia . Thenew team memberwill become part of Northrop Grumman's Army Knowledge Online (AKO) program supporting over 1.9M users worldwide on what has been recognized as the world's largest intranet portal.

The Stafff Software Developer will support the success of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) enterprise-level development and integration efforts affecting Enterprise Content Management business applications.The new team member will participate in solution design, hands-on coding, platform installation and configuration, component deployment, testing, and documentation activities according to the needs of the project.

Job Duties:

  • Provides advanced solution design, software development, platform administration, and/or database administration solutions to clients using AEM and related Adobe products

  • Creates technical and conceptual specifications in support of the clients' business needs and functional specifications

  • Consults and make recommendations to Customer and Program leadership regarding AEM technical implementations and best practices

  • Develops custom code and interfaces to other application systems as defined by the technical specifications

  • Develops and write unit test for front-end solutions

  • Develops HTML & JS for consuming back end Transactional and Informational RESTful services

  • Develops AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) components for Content Authoring

  • Conduct Unit Testing and Regression testing for all development

  • Resolves issues discovered during System/Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing

  • Develops detailed documentation of solution design and code

  • Works with customers to clarify needs and requirements and to build a solution design

  • Participates in the design and development of web-based solutions

  • Assists clients to develop or express an organizational strategy for accomplishing strategic technology goals

  • Assists clients to identify appropriate technologies for accomplishing their strategic technology goals

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience / An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement

  • 2 years of hands on development experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and developing systems using Agile methodologies

  • Knowledge and understanding of the core AEM Sites, Asset stack and AEM architectural concepts

  • Be able to use common Java design patterns and a working knowledge of AEM best practices to create custom templates, components, workflows and dialogs

  • A Certified Scrum Master certification

  • An Applicable Web Development (Army CEC approved) certificate

  • A CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent IAT-II certification Certificate)/ not required for interview, however must be obtained and on file to start

  • A current Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field

  • Experience with AEM Multi Site Manager, AEM Communities, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target desirable

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Java development and deployment tools

  • Experience in documenting user stories, system test scripts, and user acceptance test scripts

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Analysis modeling tools (e.g. Activity Diagrams, Process Flows, State Diagrams)
