Northrop Grumman Enterprise Corporate Facilities is seeking a talented, motivated, and creative Lead Engineer to lead our multiple Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for our Digital Operations team located in Northern Virginia. The portfolio covers hundreds of sites across the United States.

We are looking to hire a skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) familiar with multiple CMMS tools, such as Maximo (IBM), Maintenance Connection, L2L and Corrigo, to oversee the management of all aspects of allocated projects and efforts surrounding the use of these tools. Maintenance CMMS software enables maintenance teams to optimize their activities by allowing them to easily track work orders, maintain assets, and schedule preventative maintenance.

As the CMMS Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project strategies, creating, and developing schedules, implementing standardized facilities maintenance methods, optimizing operations, consolidating multiple tool instances, establishing data standards, driving data harmonization and maintaining project documentation. This role will also require the CMMS lead to establish and drive data governance processes, become the primary SME for tool issues and to develop and implement a sustainment and optimization strategy for the future of NG maintenance applications and processes.

Additionally, the CMMS lead will administer the CMMS tools at the enterprise level, coordinating help desk, access, and standardization of CMMS policies and information. They will coordinate standards definitions and data management across all CMMS tools, with intent to streamline and consolidate these tools for efficiency and improved analysis and reporting thru visualization and reporting tools like HTML/Tableau. Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be a major challenge for this leader. They will be tasked with cultivating knowledge resources, as well as managing personnel and contractors/vendors with a goal to enhance the internal NG customers capabilities to manage CMMS tasks and data.

Ultimately, the job is to effectively manage multiple CMMS efforts to maximize the use of the tools, implement new capabilities, expand and disposition the capabilities of tools, and develop new and more extensive data incorporation (to include improved data consistency and accuracy), to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve documentation and reporting. CMMS tools disposition to include Trade studies, best practices for NG requirements, as well as optimization and consolidation strategy road mapping. Integration of CMMs tools may include implementation of new tools, sunsetting and decommissioning of old tools, consolidation of multiple tool instances to enterprise capabilities, and data/functionality migration.

Role Description and Responsibilities:

  • Drive CMMS capabilities:

  • From Requirements, to Development, to configuration, to Unit testing, to UAT to production roll-out, to change management and finally to production operations and sustainability.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing CMMS efforts, and serves as liaison between tool Administrators, Sector Leads and the User community.

  • Support the Digital Operations Manager to manage CMMS team relationships, including partners, suppliers, and beneficiaries, in line with agreements, and best practice stakeholder management. These relationships will be managed through effective collaboration across the stakeholder community to ensure delivery objectives are meet.

  • To launch, organize, plan, document and effectively manage the execution and conclusion of all allocated CMMS-related projects to deliver on our commitments within baselined schedule and budget.

  • Actively manage both Risk and Opportunities to achieve the best Business outcome.

  • Report performance of efforts, engaging all sector and Enterprise-level stakeholders ensuring strong communications are established and maintained.

  • Ensure that CMMS-related vendors are fully engaged and managed to deliver their requirements within allocated budget and schedule.

  • As the lead administrator for CMMS enterprise tool capabilities, they will coordinate help desk and access queries in conjunction with vendors and other tools administrators

  • Develop standardized reporting, dashboarding and analytics utilizing SQL, Tableau and similar tools

  • Manage the data, analyze results and provide critical analysis for facilities leadership

  • Define and coordinate Requests for Information from internal customers. Develop standardized reporting formats, taking into account sector and program needs, while allowing for enterprise wide reporting capabilities

  • Understand the impact of change on delivery plans and manage change control tightly.

  • Attend program and department meetings as required

  • Remain compliant with all applicable Processes and procedures

  • Prioritize and project manage process improvement opportunities and track operational efficiency achievements and/or issues to resolution.

  • Support required training and facilitate change management requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 years related experience

  • SME-level knowledge of CMMS tools, such as: Maximo, Maintenance Connection, Corrigo, L2L, etc. software and capabilities

  • Self-Starter that takes initiative to complete tasks and assignments with little supervision

  • Organized, adept at workload management and prioritizing appropriately to meet deadlines. Flexible and responsive to changing priorities

  • Proficient user of MS office and competent in PowerPoint and Presentation skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Archibus, Tririga, SharePoint and ServiceNow

  • Background in facilities, real estate or building management

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies

Salary Range: $118,000 - $177,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
