Northrop Grumman's Corporate Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Manager. The incumbent will be an integral part of the corporate development team providing support for all phases of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, and divestitures for Northrop Grumman Corporation. The selected individual will work closely with corporate office and sector leadership teams to develop long-range goals and M&A strategy as well as identify opportunities that could fill strategic gaps and drive profitable growth.

This position will be primarily located onsite in the Falls Church, VA corporate office.

Additional Duties include :

  • Supports the sourcing and evaluation of acquisition candidates aligned with company strategy.

  • Manages and supports deal execution including coordinating due diligence activities and assisting with structuring, deal negotiations and integration activities.

  • Prepares presentations for executive and business leadership.

  • Manages special projects that include competitive analysis, market surveillance, M&A scenario analysis, and other relevant areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years experience in business, finance, technical or a related discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources

  • Previous corporate development, investment banking, private equity or other relevant work experience with exposure to M&A

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

  • Experience in financial analysis and/or strategy development

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other, relevant graduate degree. A technical degree coupled with relevant business education or relevant work experience will also be considered

  • Specific experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry

  • Strong analytical, statistical and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to visualize in a meaningful manner

  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function with minimal guidance

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management

  • Current DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $115,000 - $172,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
