Northrop Grumman Director, Contract Operations in Falls Church, Virginia
Northrop Grumman Corporation is currently seeking a Director of Contract Operations. This individual will reside in Falls Church, VA and report to the Corporate Director of Contracts. The Director of Contract Operations is responsible for a wide range of activities to include leading the corporate Contracts Working Group, serving as the key interface with the sector contracts organizations, leading contracts policy, procedure and tools, and supporting and managing existing tools and resources.
Specific responsibilities include:
Development and implementation of corporate contracts policy, procedures, guidance, and instructions
Responsibility for various contracts and management systems and tools as both a power-user and content manager.
Responsibility for developing and communicating key contracts resources/content within the C&P Organizations, and supporting the publication and maintenance of those resources through the Corp C&P website.
Chair the Corporate Contracts Working Group and participate in the corporate C&P Leadership Council.
Coordinate with and facilitate coordination among and between the Sector's on key communications, issues, policy, procedure, and tools.
Lead operational efficiency initiatives and facilitate the sharing of process improvements and best practices for contracts among sectors.
Maintain an awareness and understanding of current Government acquisition requirements and proposed changes in acquisition laws, regulations, and policies.
Represent the company at government/industry contracts management associations, symposia, and workshops.
Support and execution of actions assigned by the VP Contracts & Pricing.
Coordinate various NGC/Industry/Government meetings.
Prepare point-papers, presentations, content to support executive engagements.
Support ad-hoc /special projects and actions.
•Demonstrated knowledge of contracting issues and techniques with a focus on contracting with the federal government.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of people.
•Demonstrated ability to support complex operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
•Contracting Systems skills and knowledge and the ability to support contracting system tools and content.
•Dynamic, self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently, meet deadlines and achieve commitments.
•Experience leading teams, including cross-functional/cross-organization teams.
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
•Strong customer engagement skills.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience. In-depth understanding of Government acquisition policies, regulations and proposal compliance requirements.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
Some travel required.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
