Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Compensation Analyst to join the Enterprise Compensation Administration team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing enterprise compensation support for broad-based compensation, recognition and incentive plans, compensation analytics and project management.
Position is based out of the corporate office headquarters in Falls Church, VA, with consideration provided to telecommuting candidates, with the expectation to be onsite at least 1-2 days per week
Other major locations and fully remote candidates will be considered for internal applicants.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with the administration of Northrop Grumman's compensation framework and philosophy across all functions and levels within the organization
Collaborating with compensation colleagues and HR partners to provide guidance on total compensation solutions
Collaborating with the sectors to ensure strong change management for compensation-related initiatives and/or updates
Developing reoccurring and ad-hoc compensation reports, analytics or metrics tracking to inform business decisions
Supporting compensation system implementations, upgrades and conversions using standard system requirements and test scripts
Supporting the annual merit and incentive planning process
Participating in annual compensation surveys and market pricing analysis
Assist in enterprise-wide project management, program initiatives or data analysis where appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field of study with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field of study with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Highly proficient in MS Excel, and proficient in Word and Powerpoint
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including writing formulas, creating data visualizations, and performing financial modeling and forecasting
Ability to clearly communicate complex data using data visualizations and using effective presentation skills to different audiences
Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination across multiple departments
Ability to multi-task, prioritize based on business needs, and work well within a fast-paced, project-focused environment
Demonstrated experience supporting change management activities associated with large-scale initiatives
Ability to work independently but also collaborate within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Compensation Professional or progress towards certification
Working knowledge of Workday business processes and functionality
Previous experience in a large government contracting environment
Any experience using tables and queries in MS Access
Salary Range: $74,600 - $129,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
