Northrop Grumman Sr. or Principal Business Process Analyst in Fairfax, Virginia

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support a NG DoD program at Fairfax, VA. The Business Process Analyst will be a member of the Engineering & Sciences (E&S) Eastern Region homeroom. Our team is chartered with providing the skills, innovative technologies to design, develop, produce and sustain product lines across while providing a decisive advantage to our customer's missions. The candidate will be a self-starter and will be expected to manage and complete their tasks in a fast-paced results driven environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems

  • Analyze As-Is & Future-State process models to develop the strategy/plan for change, and document process models and organizational process map

  • Develop process, user stories, and business models supporting complex application solutions in order to drive customer requirements

  • Define requirements and business cases for the technology developments

  • Coordinate with business and technical teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls

  • Work closely with the customers in gathering and documenting requirements; facilitate meetings and discussion as needed during the project lifecycle

  • Function as the Subject Matter Expert for applications and standards by translating business process model to technical implementation ensuring solutions are consistent with objectives

  • Analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business Process Models, Data Flow Diagrams, System Process Models, Software Requirements Specification and Traceability Matrix

  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

  • Experience with e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow

Qualifications:

This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal Level.

Basic Qualifications for Principal:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience OR Masters' degree and 4 years of experience

  • Experience in working with customers to develop and document user stories, business requirements, functional specifications, and business rules for software applications

  • Knowledge and experience with Business Process Management (BPM) principles, methods, and common tools

  • Experience in drafting/writing communication content, materials, and products

  • US Citizenship and an active Interim Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience OR Masters' degree and 8 years of experience

  • Experience in working with customers to develop and document user stories, business requirements, functional specifications, and business rules for software applications

  • Knowledge and Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) principles, methods, and common tools

  • Experience in drafting/writing communication content, materials, and products

  • US Citizenship and an active Interim Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information System, Business Technology

  • Previous Knowledge or Experience with Army Cloud Equipping (cQuiP) system and PBDMD

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and independently

  • Knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends and difficulties of business processes

  • Experience working in an agile or iterative development environment

  • Knowledge of DoD financial processes

  • Knowledge of System Workflows
