Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking several Senior Mechanical Assemblers to support Systems Level Assembly/Integration for Tactical Radar Systems for our Life Cycle Sustainment Operations Team located at our Troy Hill facility in Elkridge, MD .

You will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

4th Shift Hours – 7:00am – 7:00pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday Only)

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Assemble, repair, and maintain antenna and trailer systems

  • Read diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts.

  • Operate hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws

  • Conduct peer inspections on product in accordance with manufacturing, engineering, and quality specifications

  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble production or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications provided by a Cognizant Engineer

  • Field work in adverse conditions for short periods of time

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 5 years professional experience performing mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and work from schematics and drawings to make initial layouts

  • Hands on experience operating hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email)

  • Prior Electro-Mechanical Basic Experience

  • Experienced working in tight spaces that require a high level of attention to detail and uncompromised quality

  • Willingness and ability to climb ladders and work at heights

  • Able to lift, push, pull up to 70lbs

  • Ability and willingness to work in adverse conditions

  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime, evenings, and weekends when required to meet program deadlines

  • Ability to plan, task, and execute to established schedules

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • J-STD experience and certification for soldering

  • IPC 620 Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies

  • Forklift and Rigging experience

  • Cable management experience

Salary Range: $49,162 - $117,638

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
