Northrop Grumman Logistics Material Processor in Elkridge, Maryland
Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector - located in Elkridge, MD - has an immediate need for a Logistics Material Processor to support our Logistics Material Planning Team within the Troy Hill Center of Excellence (COE), Life Cycle Sustainment Operations Organization (LCSO). The Material Planning Team is responsible for supporting all material acquisition in support of Northrop's Sustainment Programs. The Material Processor will be responsible for supporting the Material Program Leads in monitoring, creating, processing, updating, and executing material requests, physical receipt and satisfying of requests. In addition, the Material Processor will responsible for monitoring Diminished Material Supply (DMS) parts and updating our Government Property System of Record (GOLDEsp). He/she will be the primary interface between Material Lead(s), Operations Program Management (OPM), and Production Control in support of material acquisition and satisfying material requirements. Roles and Responsibilities Include: Monitor the LCOS Material Mailbox to process new material requests, respond to questions and/or issues, generate shop orders to support our material requirements planning (MRP), and process pull requests. *Receive and satisfy Material pulled from SAP to support repairs and/or lay-in replenishment. *Process Diminished Material Supply (DMS) updates in the GOLD Part Catalog based off DMS email notifications. *Process Acquisition Request Updates in GOLD. *Monitor our RMR log daily and update the acquisition requests with the TR (transfer request information) and estimated completion date (ECD). *Update all procurement acquisition requests with the PO Number and Estimated Ship Date (ESD). *Update all manufactured acquisition requests with the ECD and unit price based off the weekly report that our Business Operations Team provides. *Assist Material Leads with updating delay codes on GOLD Work Order (W/O).Complete daily reviews of customer furnished material pulls (lay-in) to ensure items are not held up in a reserve and/or unavailable status. *Serve as primary interface between Material Planning and Production Control. Basic Qualifications: Candidate must meet the following qualifications: •High School diploma/GED and 2 years of additional education and/or experience •Proficient in Microsoft Office applications •Experience in production, operations, and/or global supply chain •Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required. US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: •6 years of education/experience in addition to HS diploma/GED •Working knowledge of government or NGC production management systems •Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision and/or leads, receiving occasional guidance as needed •Detail oriented and goal achievement focused •Experience in SAP, GOLD, and ISE/CADSTAR and their applications •Repair/modification experience is desirable. •AA Degree Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
