Northrop Grumman Training Specialist (Systems Engineer) 2 in El Segundo, California

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector seeks a GPS Training Specialist. The candidate will assess the training needs on the program and identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps, develop material and provide training classes. Candidate must have the ability to work effectively within a team environment, ability to interface with other groups within the project, well developed problem-solving skills, and ability to work within a dynamic environment. This position's standard work schedule is a 5/40.

  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching and workshops

  • Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs

  • Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs

  • Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design

  • Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps

  • Develop multimedia visual aids, presentations, manuals and handbooks

  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness

  • Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation and process measurements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline with 2 years related work experience

  • Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education or Engineering

  • American Society for Training and Development certification

  • DoD Systems Engineering or Acquisition experience
