Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

  • Coordinate activities associated with multiple programs international logistics CONOPS

  • Implement logistics strategy of an integrated supply chain logistics across multiple sites / distribution centers

  • Drive process improvements in logistics processes to improve support for the growing needs of multiple programs

  • Evaluates and monitors supplier ability to support required delivery schedules

  • Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations

  • Ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations

  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities

  • Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded. Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers

  • Coordinate deliveries from suppliers to various Distribution Centers and program locations

  • Researches and resolves customer or supplier issues

  • Collaborate with Reusable, Rotable Container and Fixtures (RRCF) program personnel on the strategy and plan for managing these items. This includes establishment and evaluation of metrics to track performance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 6years work experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarder or large importer in the Logistics Industry; 4 years with a Master's degree

  • Ability to provide training on import related topics

  • Ability to obtain and maintain aDOD security clearance

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field

  • Aerospace & Defense sector experience

  • Knowledge of F-35 international operations and schedules

  • Working experience in regulatory environment (ITAR and EAR) in the aerospace/defense industry

  • Experience in the development of policy and writing standard operating procedures

  • Strong computer skills including ability to research transactions and prepare reports in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) information systems, perform spreadsheet calculations, and quickly learn new software
