Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.
The selected Principal Structural Engineer will support the Model Based Analysis Community of Practice for the purposes of Teamcenter for Simulation (TCSim) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) development and execution.
Will selected candidate will innovate PLM systems and collaborate in a fast paced, team environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet project deadlines under general direction only.
Note: This role does not primarily perform structural analysis or analysis related tasks.
Siemens PLM Teamcenter for simulation environment requirements definition.
Siemens Teamcenter PLM for accessing and storing design or analysis data.
Perform user acceptance testing during system upgrades.
Integrate Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) analysis tools with Siemens TCSim
Provide classroom lectures and one-on-one user support for PLM activities
Training Materials Development and Dissemination

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of aerospace vehicle analysis experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related engineering experience
Two years' experience using Aerospace Vehicle Structural, Fluid or Thermal Analysis Software (e.g. Simcenter3D, Star CCM, Autodesk)
Basic knowledge of SQL database architecture and manipulation through languages such as Python
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office with strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate and present technical material to various stakeholders
A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start
Master's Degree in systems Engineering
Ability to apply and/or develop implementation requirements for new industry standard software and technology
Experience as a Teamcenter Administrator, Developer, or Architect Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience in programming languages; C++, VBA, Python or Equivalent
Analysis experience in multiple phases of the aerospace industry product lifecycle, from Conceptual Analysis through Production and Sustainment
Experience with TCVisualization, Siemens analysis products, Active Workspace, SharePoint
Experience performing software unit testing in an Agile Environment
Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) or Cloud Based Computing
Prior experience in a mentorship, training, or teaching role desired
A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance with current or previous Special Program Access (SAP)
