Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Principal/Sr. Principal Project Management individual to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located in El Segundo, CA.

This project management and Subcontract Management Team (SMT) Lead position will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) on a restricted effort in El Segundo, CA, with some travel between El Segundo CA, Palmdale CA, and Rancho Bernardo CA. Teleworking is not available as an option. The overall responsibilities include executable tasks that will enable IPT leadership to achieve operational excellence.

The SMT Lead reports to the Sub-IPT and/or IPT Lead and is the IPT's and Global Supply Chain's (GSC's) primary interface to the supplier for the subcontract.

The SMT Lead will be responsible for and may have regular responsibilities including:

Coordinating the efforts of the SMT, including engineers, the subcontracts administrator, supplier quality assurance representatives, logistics engineers, the cost account manager, the scheduler, and the material planner.

Coordinating and managing the execution of all phases of supplier performance, including planning, proposals, new capability development, production, testing, deliveries, and sustainment.

Conducting or coordinating review of supplier documentation (e.g., technical evaluations of proposals, acceptance test procedures, cost and schedule reports, software version description documents).

Reporting supplier status to Program Managers, GSC managers, and IPT Management.

Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator.

This position can be filled at either a Principal Project Manager level or a Sr. Principal Project Manager level

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 6 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 4 years with Master's degree for a Principal role; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 10 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 8 years with Master's degree for a Sr. Principal role.

Current, active DoD Secret clearance within 6 years of last investigation / adjudication

Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)

Working knowledge of Project Management principles, including cost and schedule management

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Availability of up to 25% time regional travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing suppliers as part of a government/DoD contract

Experience with T&M, CPFF, FFP contract types

Requirements development/flow down

Proposal and contract negotiations

Technical evaluations of proposals

CAM/EV training or certification

Product lifecycles and government acquisition process related to selling, development, LRIP/production, sustainment Repair management, DMSMS evaluations, MRP requirements

Experience in supplier statement of work generation

General technical exposure to electronic subsystems, including platform integration and test

Salary range for Principal Management: $86,300 - $129,500

Salary range for Sr. Principal Management: $107,000 - $160,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
