Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst or a Sr. Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

The selected candidate will track post production costs to ensure profitability for the program. You will work in a fast paced dynamic environment ensuring that the warfighters needs are met on a daily basis. This includes supporting teams that are directly involved with getting grounded aircraft back in the air as well as supporting engineers that provide analysis on extending the flight time of aircraft.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system

  • Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule integration

  • Perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines

  • Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines

  • Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting

  • Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required

  • Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting

  • Performs analysis, interpretation, presentation, and reporting of financial and/or operational data to ensure management has accurate and timely information to make decisions and meet business objectives; supports monthly financial review status

  • Collaborates with Program leadership team to ensure awareness of financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and develop cost management plans

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the customer

  • Supports proposal efforts and prepares basis of estimates/task assessments

  • Prepares revenue and cash flow projections, forecasts manpower/staffing requirements

Qualifications:

This position may be filled at a Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst level or a Sr. Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst level depending on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, or a Master's degree with 3 years of stated experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, or a Master's degree with 7 years of stated experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

  • Proficient in Oracle Hyperion IFAS

  • Experience with preparing quarterly financial profitability assessments, Annual Operating Plans (AOP), and Long Range Strategic Plans (LRSP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial control concepts and principles to solve business issues

  • Proficiency of the following systems or software: Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) and/or Cobra project management software, SAP Management Financial System Modules, OLAP (Business Warehouse), Oracle Hyperion IFAS
