Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located inElSegundo, CAhas an opening for a Principal Engineer Mechanicalto work in the MRB area.

As engineering member of the Material Review Board (MRB) the selected candidate will provide dispositions for nonconforming hardware and/or assemblies on military aircraft program that maintain structural and functional integrity.

Theincumbent willprovide assistance to theproduction team members in the interpretation of engineering documents (drawing and specifications). This will require a working knowledge of the Nonconforming Material Control Manual (NMC), and the ability to interface with all teams and functional groups in a professional manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineeringwith 5 years' Engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering with 3 years of Engineering experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Experience with MES system.

  • Prior member of Material Review Board.

  • CATIA and/or NX
