Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission orientedEngineer Systems Test 4to perform on a team of cross-discipline specialist engineers located in El Segundo, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Test planning and requirements analysis for the program

  • Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints

  • Requirements analysis, test planning, coordination with customers (both internal and external)

  • Support development of verification plans

  • Develop and direct preparation of comprehensive test plans and schedules for completing systems

  • Definition of manufacturing processes required for test program execution, integration of lab and flight test programs

  • Develop specific testing requirements and supportthe Change Control Board process

  • Plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices

  • Ownership of one or more earned value management system (EVMS) control accounts and/or work packages

  • Leadership of small teams in execution of day-to-day test planning and test program management activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math major, with9 years of related experience, or 7 years with a Master's degree

  • Understanding of, and experience in the Test and Evaluation environment and processes

  • Verification planning/execution experience

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Demonstrated budget and schedule management experience

  • Active and in-scope (investigation within the last 5 years) DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches

  • Knowledge of DOORS requirements management, model based systems engineering and relational database tools

  • Knowledge of current DoD acquisition and T&E initiatives, and basic knowledge of system engineering processes

  • Experience in major proposals, captures, and cost estimating, along with cost and schedule management

  • Experience with cybersecurity and/or nuclear surety test planning
