Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission orientedTest Engineer 3 to perform on a team of cross-discipline specialist engineers located in El Segundo, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Test planning and requirements analysis for the GBSD program

  • Requirements analysis, test planning, coordination with customers (both internal and external)

  • Development and design of testing methods and equipment

  • Definition of manufacturing processes required for test program execution, integration of lab and flight test programs

  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment

  • Plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and custom-built devices

  • Architect test plans for verification and validation testing at the integrated system level

  • Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures or testing requirements



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math major, with 7 years of related experience or 5 years with a Master's degree

  • Understanding of, and experience in the Test and Evaluation environment and processes

  • Demonstrated ability to produce, analyze, and evaluate test data

  • Active and in-scope (investigation within the last 5 years) DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches

  • Knowledge of DOORS requirements management, model based systems engineering and relational database tools

  • Basic knowledge of system engineering processes

  • Experience in major proposals, captures, and cost estimating, along with cost and schedule management
