Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is seeking a System Survivability Engineer 3 for antenna subsystem integration and testing. The qualified applicant will execute antenna subsystem test plans in indoor and outdoor test ranges. As part of your assignment, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to determine how survivability technologies can best be integrated into air-based systems within the NGAS portfolio while managing suppliers to deliver quality products on time and on budget.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support survivability testing and data post-processing to verify survivability design of subsystems (testing performed at both indoor and outdoor testing facilities) as a part of a team
Execute tests using a wide variety of test equipment and test supplier
Process data and generate data reports
Manage supplier and verify that products are built to survivability specifications
Work across different IPTs to ensure that our products meet survivability quality standards
Complete his/her tasks under the guidance and direction of a senior engineer
This position is based in El Segundo, California.
Travel to support program requirements is expected, typically up to 50%.
Bachelors of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 5+ years of proven engineering experience in applied electromagnetics, aircraft survivability, or a survivability related discipline OR a Masters of Science STEM Degree with 3+ years of experience
Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher (investigation within the last 4 years)
BS/MS/PhD degrees in electrical engineering with upper division or graduate coursework in antenna, radar, or communication systems design;
MS degree plus 3 year of relevant work experience; BS degree plus 5 years of relevant work experience
Experience with signature integration, RCS design, analysis, and testing
Experience with RCS data processing tools such as Saber, Knowbell, or Pioneer
