Northrop Grumman Engineer Manufacturing 2 in El Segundo, California

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is looking for a candidate to identify and develop and implement technologies for production within our Advanced Manufacturing & Technology development organization with an emphasis on Digital Technologies. The selected candidate will apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts relative to manufacturing technologies for air and space applications. The candidate will define, develop, and design manufacturing concepts and processes for production applications of manufacturing technologies with a focus on digital manufacturing technologies and applications including, but not limited to, point of use work instructions, industrial internet of things (IIoT) and data analytics solutions for manufacturing processes.

Position requires business skills applicable to technical project management (technical, schedule, and cost) and earned value management. The candidate must incorporate requirements into development plans and evaluate performance of processes and tools to verify their efficiency and maturity. Strong written and oral communication skills are required as the position involves extensive interfacing with internal and external customers, program offices, engineering disciplines, and industry suppliers. The candidate will provide guidance regarding design / solution concepts, TRL/MRL maturity, and specification requirements to best utilize resources and manufacturing techniques ensuring the best value solution can be transitioned to production while ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with safety and security regulations.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with minimum 2 years of related experience. Ability to obtain and retain DoD secret clearance is required. May require travel between sites.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the development, capture, and or execution of R&D technology initiatives and experience in Digital Manufacturing technology applications.
