Northrop Grumman Mgr Engineering 2 in Edwards AFB, California
The Strike Program Systems Test Organization requires a Flight Test Operations and Section Manager responsible for all facets of Strike Systems Test operations, including staffing, planning, execution and reporting in multiple technology areas. This position will be based at Edwards AFB, CA, but will require a short-term domestic assignment to Melbourne, FL for approximately 10 months. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and self-starting individual with relevant test operations experience, who will be willing to work additional assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position. Typical duties include:
Manage the daily test activities and personnel support, prioritize tasks and oversee the strategic long term planning of test operations
Evaluates, reviews and implements department policies and procedures to ensure the Flight Test Operations department is operating in a safe and effective manner, as well as in accordance with all government and company regulations
Develop and maintain test cards, test schedules and other required test documentation for the assigned program statement of work
Manage the daily tasks of the assigned personnel, including Test Conductors, Test Directors, Mission Planners, Aircrew and support personnel
Manage the Flight Test Operations including schedule, budgets, personnel and resources and providing program de-confliction with other test activities.
Liaise with the PAICoE SIT&E Functional Homeroom and the Government Flight Representative (GFR) as required for the statement of work
Support technical interchange meetings (TIMs)
Identify all risks, issues, and pressures and develop mitigation and closure plans.
Lead a 10+ member team as the Functional Homeroom Section Manager for the assigned personnel
Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
Minimum of 5 years of relevant flight test experience with an emphasis on flight testengineering or operations.
Must have an active DOD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a PAR.
Master of Science degree in science, technology, engineering or math
DOD Top Secret clearance, with an investigation date within the past 6 years
Flexibility to work additional assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position.
