Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Logistics Support (level 3) to join our diverse team of professionals located at Edwards, CA.
You will provide support preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. You will determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modify maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. You will also develop requisitions for and manage records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; review configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; document equipment, component and parts conditions; and identify logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma and 4 years of Logistics Support experience.
Experience in warehousing, packaging, handling, shipping & receiving.
Must be able to operate and maintain standard warehouse equipment/vehicles (e.g. folk lift, reach lift, and pallet jack).
Experience using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
Willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
Have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location.
Meet medical and vaccination requirements for worldwide travel.
Have an active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance.
Able to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with Top Secret security clearance.
Understanding of government Bonded Stock, and Shop Stock requirements.
Knowledge of AFI 21-101.
Familiarity with military and commercial transportation/distribution, freight tendering, standards for packing/packaging, DD Form 1149, AFMAN 24-204, DoD processes for domestic and overseas shipments.
Salary Range: $48,600 - $81,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
