Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.

Your role

You will shoulder the critical responsibility of overseeing all Technical Publications for the Triton weapon system, covering ground and air vehicle systems. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of the Triton Technical Publications Management System, while also managing the delivery of Technical Publications services across the Triton Program.

Your responsibilities encompass a wide array of tasks, including managing the status of maintenance publications for the entire system, ensuring that all material received from the US Navy aligns with Australian requirements and upholds user-friendliness. This includes adherence to the Defence Aviation Safety Regulations, workplace health and safety (WHS) standards, as well as compliance with support test equipment and hazardous chemicals regulations.

You'll be at the forefront of the registration and validation of USN and OEM Technical Publications, Temporary Revisions, and Engineering Technical Bulletins and Directives. Collaborating with the US Navy and other stakeholders, you will be responsible for quality control, overseeing revision updates, and ensuring efficient distribution of resources within the Triton enterprise. Additionally, the management and maintenance of the Program's technical library, which encompasses OEM publications and manuals, will fall under your purview.

Conducting audits of maintenance technical publications will also be a part of your regular activities. You'll also be involved in developing and updating work instructions for Technical Publication management, ensuring compliance with Corporate and Customer Service Standards.

About You

Your background and expertise will be crucial for this role. You should have experience in Aircraft maintenance from a usability perspective, which ideally will include using and interacting with maintenance manuals to support the conduct of maintenance, understanding how to improve processes, proposing changes and having the ability to construct and write documents, which will then be sent to the US for approval. You should also be familiar with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) and S1000D. You'll work closely with the Engineering and Technical Services Manager and Senior Maintenance Manager to implement required changes.

This multifaceted role demands a comprehensive understanding of technical publications, aircraft maintenance, and a proactive approach to ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
