Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking an experienced Web Solution Engineer to support the Tactical Space Systems Division in their development and deployment of satellite ground software to end customers. The Web Solution Engineer will oversee web architecture, act as a liaison to understand end-user requirements, influence the selection of core technologies, and guide the development teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and significantly influence our satellite ground software solution providing command/control, mission planning, space visualization, and more to our end users. The location for this role is in Dulles, VA and has possible opportunities for part-time telecommuting .
Job Responsibility :
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical needs
Develop high-level architectural designs for scalable, secure, and efficient web solutions
Guide and mentor teams in the development of client and server web components to provide a highly responsive user experience as part of an existing service-oriented, message-driven architecture
Guide the selection of frameworks, libraries, tools, and design patterns to improve current and future development efforts
Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Optimize web application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in web technologies
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 14 years of relevant experiences, a Master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, a PhD with 9 years of relevant experience. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with two or more client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, WebSockets, REST API)
Experience with a JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Svelte, Vue)
Experience with a server-side technology (NodeJS, Express.js, Laravel, Django, Phoenix, JAVA Spring, Flask)
Familiarity with micro-services and orchestrated (Kubernetes or k8s) architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
Linux
CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery/continuous deployment)
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance

Salary Range: $146,000 - $219,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
