Do you want to lead a Mission Engineer team for an exciting new mission? If so, we need you to help to build, develop, and manage mission engineers. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying resource needs (people, tools, areas, support services) and working with stakeholders to address these needs across multiple space divisions.
You will be responsible for:
Lead a team analyzing a dynamic classified mission team
Ability to capture core concepts and instructional needs from a large amount of technical data (ground and space hardware) and communicate technical concepts to an audience of non-subject matter experts with varying levels of domain experience
Be self-directed and able to envision the end state of the product and take initiative to drive product development to closure
Educate leads, customers, and engineers on mission capability, analysis, and CONOPS
Understand a mission of heterogenous satellites with maturing automation for commanding & telemetry and mission planning
Develop analysis products that aligns with agile software development and delivery
Maintain weekly engagements with the mission community on the status of the training program and own responses to customer actions
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering or related technical field and at least 12 years of applicable experience, or an MS Degree and 10 years of applicable experience
Must have US Citizenship with current or active Top Secret/SCI Clearance at time of application
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Experience with developing and presenting briefing slides to senior leaders and executive level personnel
Ability to work as part of a distributed multi-disciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation
Ability to architect with MBSE and tie analysis products to model behavior
Understanding of system of system architecture designs and interplay between various national security customers and products
Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, STOL, VBA etc)

Salary Range: $165,000 - $247,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
