Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst to join our team of talented and diverse individuals at our Dulles, VA location.

The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions in accordance with the DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals (DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4), Sensitive Compartmented Information Administrative Manuals (DoD Manual 5105.21 Volumes 1-3), Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), IC Technical Specification (IC Tech Spec) for ICD/ICS 705, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with DD Form 254 and Issue subcontract DD254s.

  • Provide COMSEC support to DoD, SCI and SAP programs.

  • Perform the duties of a Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO) as required.

  • Develop crisis management plans, contingency plans and develop emergency action plans.

  • Provide program security and personnel security (PERSEC) support to include but not limited to review and process required documentation in support of the SAP and SCI nomination processes; prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings; access, review and submit clearance/access information using DISS and JADE, and other information systems; maintain PERSEC databases in accordance with customer tracking requirements; maintain and operate document control register/database; process and manage incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and visitor control.

  • Provide facility security administration, documentation, and management support: draft and implement Security Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP); Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); conduct SAP and SCI security program self-inspections; manage inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with the policies and procedures; prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies; administer and manage classified destruction program; Maintain accountability of classified material.

  • Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility.

  • Pursue and obtain customer accreditation for Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with SAP and SCI DoD Manuals, IC Tech Spec, and other government requirements (physical security, facility security, and access control, network and IT security, cryptography, personnel, etc.).

  • Develop, coordinate, and submit for approval physical security documentation including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC) and TEMPEST Addendums as applicable.

  • Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).

  • Develop, document, and present security education, training and awareness (SETA) activities.

  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.

  • Maintain liaison and good working relationships with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.

  • Generate and/or review Program Access Request (PAR) packages; ensure all required information is included including currency of information, completeness of forms, and inclusion of required signatures. Generate Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA), provide to briefer/debriefer, and/or execute briefs/debriefs on behalf of the government security team.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen, have active and current Top-Secret/SCI clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant security experience OR a Master’s degree with four year of relevant security experience. In lieu of a degree, four additional years of relevant security experience can be considered.

  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • SCIF/ SAPF Security Experience to include Experience in ICD 705 physical construction and TEMPEST requirements and Personnel and SCI/SAP Security Experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

  • Demonstrated, relevant security experience with industrial security programs within the Intelligence Community.

  • Experience implementing multiple security disciplines to include Personnel, Physical, Communications and Operations Security programs and requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions amid ambiguity and meet deadlines.

  • Strong leadership skills to include being a self-starter that can deliver results with minimal supervision and functions with high ethical standards.

  • Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees and customers.

  • Must be organized and efficient at time management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Industrial Security Certifications, Physical Security and FSO certification a plus.

  • Experience with Lenel and Security Information Management System (SIMS) software.

  • Accredited/approved CSSO training certification from an intelligence agency; valid and active.

  • Experience as a COMSEC Responsible Officer or Custodian.

Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
