Successful candidates for this position will work in a technical role for a space program in Dulles VA, in the NSS business area within the Space Systems Sector. The engineer in this position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design and integration of complex electronic systems into space platforms. Responsibilities can include electrical and RF system design and analysis, LRU testing, trouble-shooting, problem reporting and root cause analysis & resolution.

Other duties may include performing systems analysis and trades, participating in design reviews and system documentation, engineering baseline management, interface management, requirements/V&V management, preparing/presenting SE material at all major reviews and PMR's, mission support, and traditional electrical and systems engineering functions.

The candidate will work with cross-discipline team members and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse community of engineers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years systems engineering experience.

This position can be hired as a Senior Principal Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree and 9 years systems engineering experience.

Experience working with a space development program.

Hands on experience in a hardware/systems development role.

Experience with presenting and leading gate level customer reviews.

Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience presenting to customers.

Master's Degree
