Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) is seeking an experienced International Trade Compliance Analyst for its location in Dulles, VA . This position will report to the Manager of International Trade Compliance (ITC) of Space Systems Division.
Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, Space Systems Division (SSD) is an industry-leading provider of commercial satellites used for global communications and high-resolution Earth imaging. NGIS SSD is a leading provider of small and medium spacecraft that perform scientific research, weather monitoring and national security missions for government customers. The division is a pioneer in space logistics including cargo delivery to the International Space Station for NASA and commercial in-orbit satellite servicing. NGIS SSD is a provider of commercial cargo delivery services to the International Space Station and developer of advanced commercial space-launch systems and a premier provider of spacecraft components and subsystems and specialized engineering services.
International Trade Compliance Analyst 2
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work with various functional areas to determine their export/import needs.
Assist ITC Managers to develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Prepare and submit necessary export/import authorization requests required to support international programs
Support operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.
Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Supports law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
Establish and maintain training and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
Participate in various process improvement projects.
Provide training as required.
Skills and Qualifications :
Must be detailed-oriented and have ability to prioritize a varied workload
Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently, as well as with teams
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Candidate must have strong collaboration and team building skills
Must be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal andexternal customers
Must have operational experience with OCR's EASE Software
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years directly-related professional work experience or a minimum of 5 years related professional work experience
US citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance
