Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector (NGSP) is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the On-Orbit Servicing Operating Unit team. The selected individual will be responsible for business development activities that are focused on US Government agencies. This role will report to the Director of Business Development for the On-Orbit Servicing Business Unit.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operating as an integral member of the OOS and Space Logistics growth team, partnering with operational and functional leaders across the sector and company.
Developing broad knowledge of customers and competitors while maintaining awareness of market dynamics.
Evaluating market trends and developing business cases that align customer's requirements with the BU's capabilities and discriminators.
New Business Leadership
New business strategy development and execution, including IRAD and investment planning.
Opportunity identification and shaping, pursuit reviews, commitment reviews.
Mission area business analysis including business model development.
New business capture support and strategy development including proposal development.
Partnering with other NG divisions and sectors as well as industry partners to create new business opportunities.
Providing deep insight into US government acquisition and user base including DoD, IC, and Civil Space customers.
Developing and maintaining close personal relationships with senior and mid-level government decision makers with emphasis on space acquirers and users.
Collaborating with NGC Government Relations on customer engagement strategies and execution.
Developing and executing business development plans to influence all aspects of new business capture.
Providing the division with customer information, planning, analysis, and strategy on each new business pursuit as an integrated presentation for sector management bid/no bid decisions and for the long-range strategic plan.
Providing analysis of future customer requirements.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or 8 years with a Master's; alternatively, equivalent military, civil service or business and program experience in lieu of formal business development experience accepted.
Experience in, and established relationships, working with the US government customers and space industry counterparts (prime contractors, domain vendors/suppliers, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of government procurement and business development processes; proven track record of business development success across the phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, strategic thinking with respect to customer needs, competitive positioning, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills that ensure collaborative and trusting relationships with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and technical experts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations.
Experience leading teams.
Ability to travel 10-25% travel as required.
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Advanced degree in a business or technical discipline relevant to On-Orbit Servicing.
Recent, within the last 3 years, direct experience within US Air Force / Space Force, NASA, or NOAA.
Track record of successful capture on large/major pursuits as well as pipeline development.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to identify and qualify new program opportunities, and to develop and implement creative approaches for executing early phase program activities.
