Northrop Grumman Aircraft Mechanic 4 in Dulles, Virginia
The Aircraft Technician 4 performs diagnosis of system malfunctions, makes repairs and services jet aircraft and engine systems in accordance with manufacturer's technical specifications, blue prints, drawings, schematics, engineering instructions and Federal Aviation Administration regulations in our corporate flight department based at Dulles Int'l Airport.
In addition, the Aircraft Technician 4 will:
-Maintain required FAA records, manuals, inspection forms and other forms of technical data both in paper and computer based formats.
-Lead task teams on aircraft maintenance projects
-Represent the Repair Station during off-site aircraft maintenance performed by various vendors to include maintenance and inspection oversight and required internal auditing of assigned vendors
-Supervise and instruct less experienced technicians when performing tasks of an in-depth nature
-Provide away-from-home-station troubleshooting and travel to make minor repairs of assigned aircraft
-Provide maintenance support at remote sites during senior leadership level meetings.
-Tow, load / unload, launch, recover, inspect and service department aircraft
This position will be assigned 2nd shift, Monday through Friday 1500-2330 and will require the ability to work flexible hours in support of the Flight Schedule. This position will work overtime, alternate scheduling and weekends as needed to support the operation.
-High School / GED diploma and 6 years ofadditional education and/or AA Degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience
-Outstanding communication skills, the ability to function within a team-oriented environment and work flexible hours
-Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates
-State issued driver's license
-Ability to secure and maintain airport issued security badge w/background check
-Ability to secure and maintain a Gov't issued passport
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Computerized Maintenance Tracking programs ( CAMP, CESCOM, CMP, etc.)
-Possess basic hand tools in a lockable rolling tool box / cabinet
-Be able to pass a random DOT drug screening
-AA Degree or higher in a related aeronautical discipline
-8-10 years related experience in the repair and maintenance of turbine-powered aircraft
-Factory level maintenance training and experience on Gulfstream GV / G550 aircraft
-Factory level maintenance training and experience on Cessna 680 aircraft
-FAA inspection authorization certification
-Prior FAA Part 145 Repair Station and Part 135 Air Carrier Certification
-10 to 12 years corporate jet maintenance experience - Avionics / Electrical background is especially desired
