Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician 2/3 to join our team at our Promontory facility in Promontory, Utah.

Process Quality Assurance responsibilities cover a wide array of manufacturing areas and a broad verity of processes on inert and energetic materials. Perform visual and final dimensional inspections to verify items are acceptable to the following requirements: Blueprints, CAD drawings, specification, Quality Procedures, and planning instructions. Inspections are performed using calipers, depth micrometers, height gages, I.D. & O.D. micrometers and stationery and portable CMM's, Creaform systems etc. on tight tolerance materials, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Use of Geometric Tolerancing to verify true positions, runouts, profiles, flatness, perpendicularity requirements. Reviews data ensuring temperature/humidity requirements are met for in process and deliverable hardware. Verification of critical cure cycles are met. Ensures correct instrumentation has been located at azimuth and longitudinal locations on flight hardware. Documentation of discrepant hardware/materials requires strong written and verbal communication skill set to accurately characterize defects in written formats. Once items are documented it requires QA to have strict control over the use and movement of items under MRB (Material Review Board) control. Process Inspection updates and maintains status and accountability of discrepant materials and hardware during processing. Interacts as a liaison with government customer for multiple programs to address any questions or concerns. Works with numerous computer system in the form of processing instruction, engineering data bases, defect documentation system, material tagging, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Computer Skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Detail Oriented

High School Diploma or GED

2 years inspection experience or cumulative experience deemed equivalent

Can be filled one level higher at level 3 with 4 years experience and high school diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

Shop Floor Planning experience preferred Blueprint reading skills preferred.

Associates degree or other 2 year technical degree

Salary Range: $41,000 - $68,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
