Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Propulsion Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 3) or Senior Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 4) who will function as the Facility Security Officer (FSO experience) with oversight and responsibility for DoD classified programs. This position will be in Corinne, Utah location (Promontory Plant).

Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • As a senior analyst, lead the Industrial Security office to ensure protection of national security information and compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

  • Engage with senior leaders and senior level customers and diverse personalities to enable short term deliverables and long-term lasting solutions.

  • Use experience and independent judgment to maintain an effective security program that meets government customer and corporate security requirements for highly sensitive, and sometimes complex programs.

  • Directly support all classified programs (administrative and manufacturing) and coordinate support from Computer Security, Physical Security and Personnel Security to collectively meet classified program compliance requirements.

  • Safeguard, control, account for classified information and material to include storage, transmission, reproduction, disposition, and retention.

  • Develop and/or administer various training to include annual security training for cleared employees.

  • Interpret and ensure compliance with Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254) and Contract/Program Security Classification Guides (SCG).

  • Use and maintain security database applications (company & customer).

  • Process classified visit requests and orchestrate classified visits/meetings.

  • Coordinate the foreign travel program and assist with foreign visitors.

  • Configuration Control Board (CCB) member for classified systems.

  • Focal point for on-site inspections/assessments required by government policy.

  • Conduct investigations, report security incidents and file official reports.

  • Administer Security Education and OPSEC programs.

  • Review technical papers.

  • Coordinate and perform testing of intrusion detection systems in classified administrative and manufacturing areas.

  • COMSEC Manager: perform semi-annual inventory and account reconciliation; maintain crypto key/equipment; complete required assessments/self-assessments.

  • Other security related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and six years of relevant experience in a combination of DoD Industrial Security. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of directly relevant experience may be considered.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance at the time of application (Tier 3 background investigation) current within 6 years. Must obtain a Top Secret DoD clearance (Tier 5 background investigation) within 6-months

  • Work independently with little direct supervision.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the 32 CFR (NISPOM) and ability to effectively lead junior team members to implement for DoD contracts.

  • Experience with DISS and NISS.

Basic Qualifications (Level 4):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and ten years of relevant experience in a combination of DoD Industrial Security. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of directly relevant experience may be considered.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance at the time of application (Tier 3 background investigation) current within 6 years. Must obtain a Top Secret DoD clearance (Tier 5 background investigation) within 6-monthsWork independently with little direct supervision.

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of the 32 CFR (NISPOM) and ability to effectively lead junior team members to implement for DoD contracts

  • Experience with DISS and NISS.

Preferred Qualifications (Both Levels):

  • A bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred).

  • Effective planner, detail oriented with strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Effective written communication skills, report writing, and presentation skills.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to include working with senior leaders/managers, customers, employees, and security personnel; Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000

Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
