Northrop Grumman has a dynamic opportunity in Pricing Estimate Management. In this role, the Pricing Cost Estimating Manager 2 will be responsible for project management, proposal operations, planning data analytics and reporting, and will serve a key role overseeing its dynamic and strategic business portfolios, interfacing with internal key stakeholders and involved in all aspects of cost, schedule and technical performance.
The Pricing Manager will be the primary interface with internal customers and its business partners in facilitating operation administration support such as data reporting, data analytics, while operating across it geographic networks. The selected candidate will facilitate data administration of proposal analytics to support pricing and proposal acquisition fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
This role will lead its team in preparing bid quotations; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; and compile and analyze data; and maintain historical information.
This position will be based out of our Promontory, UT location and will be on-site.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Execute high quality, timely and compliant proposals in support of the financial objectives.
Champion a team of professionals responsible for pricing and other costing actions spanning nationwide.
Work with program management and capture team leadership to drive solutions to complex pricing scenarios.
Spearhead the development of compliant, quality cost proposals.
Support DCMA/DCAA offices and Government Compliance regarding proposal audits.
Conduct internal pricing activities to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Support routine status briefings for internal key stakeholders.
Maintain a robust, proactive risk/opportunity management process.
Support development of new proposal opportunities and pricing activities.
The selected candidate must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, possess solid written and verbal communication skills, and have an agile perspective or compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of related experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years of related experience.
Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and, innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences.
Proficiency in pricing and estimating methodologies, quality and compliance requirements relating to cost volumes and Estimating System requirements including overhead rate application.
Ability to effectively and clearly present proposals and financial impacts to all levels of organization utilizing, numerous software applications and communication systems.
Experience developing proposals of various contract types with significant supplier (subcontractor and procurement) content.
Working knowledge of Enterprise Pricing Software (i.e. ProPricer) or other similar software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Communications.
Ability to review and analyze data as needed.
Aerospace industry experience.
Ability to multi-task.
Experience managing large, complex proposals in response to multiple solicitation types including RFIs, RFPs, and BAAs.
Agility in operating on a secure network and secure database geographically.
Project management and earned value experience.
Analytical ability and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Basis of Estimate (BEO) tools like Proposal Universe, and Proposal Development (Material Estimating, Cost Volume Integration, Certification, Cost Development Tools).
Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting Regulations with the ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships.
Salary Range: $116,200 - $174,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
