Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Engineer Software - Software Integrator (22-284) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

This position requires previous experience integrating separate software components into a single system. Specific tasks will include installing and configuring Linux and Windows HW platforms from the OS to the C2BMC-developed applications. Creation, capture, and verification of all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer. This position is responsible for integration/execution, detailed data analysis, and preparation of software test reports.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop installation scripts to automate the system installation.

  • Develop test plans/procedures for software integration test conduct.

  • Coordinate execution of SW integration tests to verify system operation.

  • Work with software developers to help diagnose and resolve problems found during software integration.

  • Submit problem reports for errors found.

  • Responsible for implementing all cybersecurity directives on the systems, including running cybersecurity scans.

  • Coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members.

  • Experience integrating complex Windows and Unix/Linux applications.

  • Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up.

  • Experience with VMWare systems administration and installation.

  • Experience with Cyber Security policies and procedures and the ability to apply Cyber Security requirements to an existing system.

  • Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging, and maintaining).

  • Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.

  • 14 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 18 years experience in lieu of a degree or 12 years with a Master's degree.

  • Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.

  • Candidate must be skilled in software integration planning and execution.

  • Must have, or be able to develop, in-depth expertise in the C2BMC concept of operations and user interface

  • Must have experience writing installation manuals.

  • Ability to write clear, concise system installation and configuration instructions.

  • Possess excellent communication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with software developers, system administrators, and analysis and test engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VM Horizon View is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Java and Object-Oriented.

  • Experience in software development, command and control, and missile defense is a plus.

  • Occasional travel will be required for this position, including support to installation and checkout at customer sites (including OCONUS)

Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
