Works as a member of a four-person team providing orbital analysis support to customer operations planners in development of mission plans. Works as an integral part of the customer mission planning team in providing mission briefings to customer leadership and upper echelon command and control agencies. Performs duty as part of the customer operations team in the development, planning, execution, and analysis of mission plans and tasking. Performs weekly on-call duties once a month ensuring that customer mission planning and operations teams have 24/7 orbital analysis and mission planning support. Provides orbital analysis and engineering support to customer mission debriefings and fault and anomaly resolution activities.
Requires TOP SECRET clearance with current SCI access.
Minimum Education / Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
Must be proficient in the principles and application of orbital mechanics and astrodynamics.
Must have an understanding of applied statistics.
Must be proficient in coding using the Python programming language.
Must be familiar with the principles of orbit determination and uncertainty.
Must be able to provide risk assessment and mitigation plans for on-orbit operations.
Must be willing to perform on-call duties at least once a month for a week.
Experience planning maneuvers for on-orbit spacecraft
Experience using ground observation data to develop orbit states
Technical degree in Physics, Computer Science, Astronautical Engineering, or related field
Salary minimum: $103,680
Salary maximum: $155,520
