Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is seeking applicants for a position on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program as a Cyber Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, and some travel may be required.
The Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sectors Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program is looking for you to join our team as a High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) Principal Systems Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO
What you'll get to do:
Conduct research, design, development, and testing of High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse protection hardware such as shielded cabinets, bladder and finger stock doors, waveguides, power and signal filters and electrical components
Design new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications
Gather, compile and analyze technical test data and develop comprehensive reviews and recommendations regarding HEMP maintenance cycles and testing
Prepare technical procedures and specification data
Review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
Review current and develop new Technical Orders and Manuals

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college with 5 years of systems engineering experience; or 3 years' experience with a Master's degree; or 0 years with PhD.
Current DoD Interim SECRET Security Clearance or higher
Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Knowledge of HEMP and/or TEMPEST protection measures, Radio Frequency (RF) propagation and coupling
Experience utilizing MS Office Suite tools (i.e. Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Word)
Active DoD Secret clearance
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience working with ground based radar systems, preferably Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) PAVE Phased Array Warning System (PAVE PAWS) and/or Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
Thorough understanding of HEMP, RF propagation, RF coupling, electrical power systems, grounding and HEMP protection and counter measures
Expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks with experience developing electrical power diagrams and 3D drawings
Experience with electro-mechanical design

Salary Range: $92,000-$138,000
