Northrop Grumman's Technology Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager 2 to serve as the Sustainment Lead supporting the Sustainment and Modification of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.This position is contingent upon program award.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The qualified applicant will function as the focal point for SMORS Sustainment task orders, providing overall direction, leadership, program management, people management and development, and task order and resource allocation (headcount and staffing plans).The selected candidate will have the following roles and responsibilities:
·Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with SMORS program management and functional leads.
·The qualified applicant will oversee and manage all operational aspects and performance of the SMORS Sustainment task orders.
·Responsible for the administration, planning, scheduling, communications, problem resolution, deliverables, and technical performance Sustainment activities (i.e. depot maintenance, logistics, parts obsolesce, systems engineering, configuration management, supply support, training and technical data.
Manages the day-to-day work on the Sustainment task orders through delegation to technical leads. Assigns tasks to team members, monitors progress and reports to SMORS program management and customer to ensure quality of team's work and on-time completion.
Collaborates with the customer and internal/external stakeholders to ensure client-satisfaction regarding project goals and objectives and strategic initiatives.
Serves as mentor andpoint of contact for team members to escalate, coordinate, and resolve issues and participates in goal-setting, drafts and delivers team member performance evaluations.
Provides inputs to the preparation of Sustainment task order proposals, business plans, work statements and specifications, operating budgets and other management work products.

·Bachelor’s degreein an engineeringor related field with a minimum of 8 years overall experience (or a Master’s degree with 6 years)
·Demonstrated logistics leadership and management experience working with large matrix teams
·U.S. Citizen and must have a Secret security clearance or higher
·Flexibility to travel for customer purposes
·2 years of direct supervisory people management responsibility in a project setting
·Experience withUSAF/DoD tactical warning, space situational awareness and/orradar systems
·Previous experience supporting a Government and/or DoD customer
·Good verbal and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders and both internal and external customers
·Familiarity with Northrop Grumman project execution, processes and procedures
·Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
