Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time

-The candidate will act independently, supporting development, integration and test of BMDS models and simulations.

-Will perform technical planning, development, integration, test/validation, and configuration of Free and Open Software (FOSS), Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS), and custom software.

-Build high-quality software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

-Define, implement and document system model and simulation interfaces.

The selected candidate will work with an internal research and development team and utilize best practices for development and integration of complex BMDS models and simulations. The candidate should have experience working with MDA models and simulation and must be a quick leaner, self-motivated, and able to balance multiple-simultaneous tasks. They will participate in system engineering and test, software development, system integration and test, change management and documentation.


Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of software engineering experience OR

-Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university

-Minimum 1 year of software design, integration, and/or test experience

-A current DoD Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics

-BMDS Modeling and Simulation experience, to include software programming, testing and analysis.

-Experience with software language/scripts such as C or MATLAB

-Experience with simulation software design, implementation, and integration

-Ability to program and diagnose complex technical systems

-Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
