The CAD Administrator is responsible for supporting our Directorate Creo and Solidworks environment at NASA Glenn Research Center (Cleveland, OH). As a member of the Research and Engineering IT Support staff you will deliver full solutions to technical and strategic challenges supporting Mission and Project goals and milestones.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 10 years experience CAD Administration in PTC Creo, and Solidworks.
Responsibilities - Provide CAD administration for PTC (Creo suite), NX (UGS, I-deas), and Solidworks. Specifically, for PTC software this will include:
The creation, upgrade, and maintenance of custom software configuration files
Installation, testing, administration, upgrade and maintenance of PTC software including support and documentation for validation testing
Support of integration into the Research and Engineering wide application base
First level User support for SolidWorks and PTC software Creo and Windchill including ancillary products such as MathCAD, Navigate, and CreoView
Support MCAD, ECAD and other integrations with Windchill
Develop and train users on Creo/Windchill functionality and organizational adoption of CAD Data Management
Remain current on organization policy and guidelines for data management
Remain current on latest Creo, Solidworks and Windchill functionality and data compatibility
Setup and configuration of PTC parts libraries, AFX profiles, start parts, drawing formats, fastener data in IFX and other structures as needed
Maintain and update command files for launching and tracking Creo products
Documentation of customizations and administrative information
Verify compatibility with Operating System and IT Security required patching and upgrades
Provide input to CAD application and data management strategic planning
