Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Sr. Principal Quality Analyst to provide support to our ACS Program Team . (Must have current and Active Secret Clearance to be considered)
Ensures performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Candidate will work in an industrial environment and support solving engineering problems. Will effectively interact with design engineering team and provide support across Factory Value Streams, Materials and Process experts, Process engineering, and Tool Design.
Emphasis in coursework or prior experience in the following areas required:
Application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5)
Dimensional Inspection Techniques
Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action
Knowledge of MRB (Material Review Board) standards.
Understanding of PES (Lean) principles with experience leading and implementing significant improvements.
Engineering Design, Solids of Mechanics, Design of Experiments, Systems Engineering and Statistics
Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of AS9100
Knowledge of implementation and maintenance of risk management
Knowledge of developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics
Demonstrated ability to present information to a variety of stakeholders and to package (arrange/assemble) data in a manner consistent with the target audience
Routinely coordinates issues with various programs and customers with little supervision.
Candidate should have experience in the following areas:
Digital inspection techniques using Leica and Romer arm equipment
Experience using and programming CMMs
Computer Aided Design and Software - i.e. Verisurf, Cameo, CAD/CAM, etc.
Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts, process and tools.
Qualified candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They should be a strong problem solver and critical thinker. They should have the ability to multi task.
BS degree and minimum of 10 years of experience or MS degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience OR minimum of 18 years experience in Quality or another related field of experience in lieu of a 4 year degree
Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance
Demonstrated customer interface
BS degree and minimum of 10 years of experience or MS degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience
Quality and Lean certifications
CMR (Quality Control Material Review) authority or history of authority. Familiar with Six Sigma concepts
