Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Analyst to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Clearfield, Utah to support our F-5 / T-38 program.
Responsibilities:
Implements Mission Assurance engagement strategies across the program life-cycle from supporting new business pursuits to supporting fielded products
Acts as the main Supplier Quality focal point for the program and will be responsible for applying and maintaining quality evaluation techniques and control systems to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials
Collaborates with customers, supply chain, program management, contracts, and engineering to ensure quality standards are in place and maintained
Performs assessments of the program activities to ensure compliance with stated requirements
Measures and monitors supplier performance, including corrective actions to the supplier, source inspections, AS9102 inspections, and supplier audits
Monitors Supplier processes and performance to ensure mission success
Evaluates and assures supplier, quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, in accordance with contractual requirements
Assesses supplier performance and risks, and determines methodology to ensure mission assurance
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Must have one of the following:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of quality / mission assurance experience
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 6 years of quality / mission assurance experience
Master's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 4 years of quality / mission assurance experience
Experience and knowledge of First Article Inspection Standard / AS9102 application
Knowledge and application of SAP
Knowledge and application of Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) concepts and actions, including counterfeit items
Must be able to work on-site in Clearfield, Utah (teleworking is acceptable during the COVID pandemic)
Ability to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time) with a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge and experience in application of AS9100D and ISO9001
Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma quality engineering methodologies
Experience in process flow building and value stream building preferred
Prefer candidates with an Engineering or STEM degree
Previous experience as a Quality Engineer
Previous experience having responsibility and oversight of multiple products and/or processes
Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards
Experience working with suppliers in an aerospace or automotive environment
Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions
Excellent collaboration skills in team environment
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints
Able to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result
Able to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goals
Ability to make decisions that positively impact the organization's credibility, operations and services
Able to prepare and analyze data and figures
Good communication skills, including with top management
Ability to identify sequence of operations or action to be taken
