Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principle Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.

The selected candidate will transition start up programs to full production capability for various space, aircraft, and ground systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts

  • Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

  • May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.

  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

  • On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.

  • May assist in the planning and design of facilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of experience working in an industrial engineering position.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts

  • Experience working with cross-functional tams in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability of impacting bottom line financials through the impementation of continuous improvment and/or industrial engineering methodology

  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

  • Must have the ability to obtain a special program access clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Aerospace structure assembly

  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering

  • Experience with developing engineering standards (ex: Time and motion studies)
