Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be located at our Innovation Systems Sector in Clearfield, Utah.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's manufacturing engineering organization in the Advanced Composite Structures COE
The selected candidate will work in a manufacturing and design environment building aerospace products.
Roles and Responsibilities
Engineering oversight of composites hand layup, bonding, cure, and assembly processes.
Develop and maintain materials, tools, software, and planning in support of aerospace manufacturing processes.
Provide support for Operations to address technical production issues.
Work with design engineering to develop efficient and buildable product designs.
Develop process improvements that improve product quality and reduce cost.
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Materials Science, or similar
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government special program access clearance
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
