Northrop Grumman-Xetron in Cincinnati, Ohio has an open position for cleared or clearable DSP / Digital Signal Processing Engineers with significant experience in Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communications Systems to support DoD / Defense related programs.
A Digital Signal Processing Engineer researches, designs, develops and verifies signal collection systems; and defines and develops processing algorithms and digital communication systems. Develops designs from requirements and integrates new signal and processing technology systems. Designs, develops and analyzes systems for the extraction of information from signal and image sensors.
Systems designed could include: detection and estimation theories; electromagnetic and acoustic effects on signals; implementation of signal processing with advanced computer architectures; custom RF wave forms; interfacing to custom transceiver hardware; autonomous signal identification and parameterization; cutting edge EW techniques on custom hardware.
BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2 years’ of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in same with 0 years’ or relevant experience
Matlab, C or C software development experience on Linux or embedded RTOS
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
Possess active TS/SCI
Experience with design, implementation, and test of FPGA solutions for DSP systems in the RF domain, preferably in VHDL
Experience in Digital Signal Processing / Digital Communications Systems
Digital communications hardware design, implementation, and test
