The Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Contract Administrator to manage the contract closeout process for contracts that have completed their period of performance. Contract Closeouts focus is to ensure administrative requirements for both NG and our customers have been met. The closeout of Government contracts is governed by Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and calls for timely contract closure and submittal of required contract documents dependent upon contract type, scope, and provisions. Responsibilities include negotiating the successful closeout of contracts, reviewing, and analyzing contracts to determine contractual requirements, working with Government agencies and commercial customers. This role includes data analytics, reporting and interfacing with internal key stakeholders.

We are looking for you to join our team as a Contract Administrator based out of Cincinnati, OH. Flexible work arrangements may be available for this role depending upon identified business needs.

What You'll Get to Do

Primary interface with the DCMA office, and other USG and Commercial customers on contract closeout matters and customer requests. Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned closeout contractual matters Track organizational closeout metrics and ensure the timely closure of contracts according to FAR. Assist the program team to expedite and obtain closeout certifications as needed to ensure all closeout contractual requirements are met. Provide support to Billing team for Customer Closeout Requests, Canceling Funds and final invoicing. Responsible for generating metrics and reports for sector, line management, and ACOs as required, and maintaining current system status in SAP during the life of the closeout.

Basic Qualifications for Contracts Administrator Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing. or Contracts adjacencies (Criminal Justice, English, International Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management) from an accredited institution with 2 years of relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management, finance, accounting OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing. or Contracts adjacencies (Criminal Justice, English, International Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management) from an accredited institution with 1 years of relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management, finance with 1 year of relevant experience.

  • minimum of 1 year experience Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe.

  • minimum of 1 year experience with FAR/DFARS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

  • Current US Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications for the Contracts Administrator Role

  • Experience in contacts administration within the defense industry

  • Experience reading and interpreting legal and contractual requirements.​

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.

  • SAP software tool experience

Salary Range: $65,500 - $98,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
