Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Contract Administrator to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Space Security Contracts team. This is a unique opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships, and career growth by contributing to the Contracts role . This position is in Dulles, VA ; and offers unique flexibility while supporting the Contracts team.

The Staff Contract Administrator will produce high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Space Security Systems (SPS) programs. This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, strong technology acumen in M365, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

The Staff Contract Administrator will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The Staff Contract Administrator must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations, and meet the goals/objectives of the SPS business unit.

Roles and responsibilities of the Contracts Administrator will include the following:

  • Administers, extends, negotiates, and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.

  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress and other reports.

  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations

  • Compiles and analyzes data.

  • Maintains historical information.

Basic Qualifications for Staff Contract Administrator (Level 5):

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration experience, or Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration experience.

  • Strong technical acumen in M365

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion.

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

  • An In-depth knowledge of FAR and DFAR and experience with different contract types

  • Extensive Proposal Support is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.

  • An In-depth knowledge of UCC

  • Experience supporting ECPs and REAs

  • Extensive Proposal Support is a plus.

  • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)

Salary Range: $136,300 - $204,500

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
