Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Principal Software Development Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's FBI ITSSS STOR 159 program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas and develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
Translate detailed designs into computer software.
Test, fix, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with five years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis. An additional 4 years of experience in application programming may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Must be able to accurately represent customer requirements by using excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Able to work in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.
Proficient at gathering and interpreting relevant data and information.
Must have advanced skills in one or more of the following: Java, .Net, ORACLE, MARIA DB or similar and in scripting languages approved by or preferred by the Government.
Experienced in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management services and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
Must have a current TS clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Master's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline
