Northrop Grumman Principal Data Management Specialist in Chantilly, Virginia

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a PrincipalData Management Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's FBI ITSSS STOR 159 program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement new data management schema.

Plan and coordinate the development of data structures and access strategies in alignment with business and mission requirements.

Coordinate the evaluation and selection of data management tools.

Plan and manage the migration of databases to new technologies.

Plan and oversee the installation or reinstallation process and coordinate with specialists in other functional areas to resolve connectivity, compatibility, reliability, security, and related issues.

Evaluate and recommend available database management system (DBMS) products to meet user requirements.

Perform and maintain Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes.

Determine file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with6 years of relevant experience in database administration. An additional 4 years of experience in database administration may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Demonstrated proficiency in design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases, to include managing access methods, access time, and device allocation.

Experience with database validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.

Experience managing database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.

Ability to perform a wide range of database administration functions. Skilled at running test queries.

Experience with production implementation and support experience with databases on Linux/Unix platforms.

Proficiency in the Agile Scrum methodology.

Experience with database management concepts and techniques and with data mining, storage, and warehousing methods.

Must have a current TS clearance and the ability to obtain SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Experienced with MySQL replication services and configuration

Master's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems
